How My Journey Began
Alanda Adams, CPA
Hi! I’m Alanda, Founder and CEO of Prime Tax Pro. Born and raised in Richmond, VA, I observed the lack of financial education within my community. At a young age, I knew I had to break the cycle and learn how to manage finances. It was during my sophomore year of college when I decided to switch my major to accounting and I immediately knew I was destined to help individuals and business owners manage their finances.
I started doing tax returns for the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program in 2018 until 2020. In May of 2020, I graduated with a BBA in Accounting and went to work for Big 4 in audit and two years later transitioned into mergers and acquisitions. In 2021, I launched my business to prepare tax returns as a side hustle. In 2024, I obtained my professional credentials as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Georgia to turn my side hustle into a career.
I have a passion for serving others and I know that tax season can be one of the biggest stressors for most business owners and individuals/families. That’s why I created this business. I want to help relieve the stress from tax season and empower my clients with the financial knowledge they need to grow and maintain their wealth. There is so much information that isn’t taught in high schools or college and I am here to break that cycle.
